Mission Statement
The mission of the Chandler Jackson Youth Foundation is to provide
emotional support, financial resources and to help enrich the
lives of less fortunate boys and girls through athletic opportunities
and other enrichment programs. During his 12 years, Chandler
experienced bountiful blessings of loving parents, a caring
sister-mentor, the gifts of his own personal abilities, opportunities
to perfect his talents and try new adventures, and the support
of an immense, heart-felt network of family and friends. As
a result, Chandler often stated, “This is the best day
of my life!” The foundation aims to reflect Chandler’s
generosity and exhilarating character by helping to give other
children opportunities to expand, excel
and enjoy their interests.
Foundation Goals
The Chandler Jackson Youth Foundation is committed to fulfilling its mission through the following goals: |
| • Provide financial assistance to underprivileged
children with food, clothing, medical or any other necessities
needed to help a child. |
| • Provide financial assistance to children
who wish to participate in a sport or other enrichment activity,
such as band, drama or art. In addition resources will be
available for children to attend various camps, Christian, athletic,
etc. |
| • Provide terminally or seriously ill children with the opportunity to attend an event or realize a dream to help make it “The Best Day of Their Life.” |
| • Provide financial assistance to children who have experienced a traumatic loss and need counseling services. |
| • Encourage sportsmanship, generosity, selflessness, and kindness among children by creating incentives for children to support one another. We want to encourage all children to act with the same level of compassion that Chandler showed to others. The Foundation will give out an annual Chandler Jackson Sportsmanship Award. The Foundation will accept nominations from children and parents, regardless of sport or activity they participate in. |
